Opening of a Lifetime – AIDA

A telling tale of entangled and forbidden love, portrayed through vibrant characters and musical numbers; Heritage High School’s production of Aida brings an unforgettable and exuberant performance to the stage.

  The show premiered on March 2nd in the Heritage theater for $12 for students and $17 for parents, at 7 in the evening,

  The cast and crew have been working incredibly hard to make the show as amazing as possible;

  “The show feels very unique as the music itself feels very powerful. The costumes, choreography and acting all feels its own and very moving,” said set crew member, Thomas Gonzalez (11).

  The show depicts the story of an Egyptian princess, who falls in love with an Egyptian soldier, betrothed to the Pharaoh’s daughter, taking a journey through their forbidden love.

“It’s really fun working with the cast and crew, the story of Aida is super romantic and sad, but still ever exciting!” said sound crew head, Jenna Hards (11).   

  The music is one factor that makes this show unique, the fantastically written and performed songs make a lasting impact on all who hear it, and the band members have worked incredibly long hours to perfect the soundtrack,

“The music is what drew me into Aida. Elton John and Tim Rice created amazing music for this show. The music is so powerful, and it’s one of those shows where the music will stay with you even after you leave,” said member, Julia Daijogo (12).
