The Waiting Game

With five months left for seniors at Heritage High School everyday is getting more and more stressful because people are unsure which college they are going to get into. But while other people are getting stressed and anxious, Wava Green (11) has another plan.

“I’m going to join the Army reserves and have them pay my school,” said Green.

For a lot of people they say that school isn’t for them so they end up going to the military and get there basic AA degree and come out and get a better job then people with master degrees. William Wilkins (12) was accepted into Grand Canyon University.

“GCU is my number one school and I have always wanted to go there…When I was putting in my applications I was getting discouraged because I didn’t think that I was going to get in,” said Wilkins.

Will was really excited when he found out he got accepted.

“It was a huge weight lifted off of my chest,” said Wilkins.

A lot of people are starting to hear from college regarding acceptances. While other people are getting letters from colleges, Abigail Berkley (12) is still awaiting her letter.

“My number one school is Sonoma State University,” said Berkley.

Like many others, Berkley says that when she gets accepted she’s going to be really excited because she has always wanted to go there. Berkeley also has a back up plan just in case she doesn’t get into Sonoma state.

“If I don’t get into Sonoma I want to go to San Francisco state,” said Berkeley.

Although the year is almost at an end seniors are doing all they can too graduate so they can go to the school they want too.
