Spring Break!

Spring break is a time that is looked forward to by many. For students, it is a much needed break from school to be home with friends and family. For parents, it is a two week break to spend more time with their children on vacations or just at home.

“I look forward to traveling to Cancun with my best friend this spring break.” says Jacie Cofer (12).

Many people use spring break as a mini summer vacation and travel to warm places to get away from our rainy weather. Families tend to book their vacations over spring break specifically for this reason, a nice break.

“My family just stays home together on spring break and occasionally goes to six flags or great america together, since I’m usually busy with volleyball.” says Kendal henry, a junior at Heritage.

Since Brentwood isn’t very close to any beaches, the next best thing to do on a school break is go to amusement parks or shopping at malls.

Spring break is a stress free time to spend with friends and family doing fun activities and escaping the pressures of school.

“My parents both work and I play softball, so we don’t travel for spring break normally.” says Delia Scott, a junior on Heritage high’s softball team.

Even if your family doesn’t go places for spring break, everybody still gets to enjoy a two week break to sleep in and spend the day relaxing at home.
