With a big upset for the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas
City Chief’s, teams are wrapping up their preseason games and are heading into week 1of their
official games.
Preseasons games are not too popular to watch as it does not count towards team’s rankings and
entry to the super bowl, but this is a big warm up and gives teams the opportunity to try out new
tactics, and the ability to lose a game and revise what they did and fix it without it counting
towards their record.
Some notable games were the Eagles went 0-2-1, the Chiefs went 2-1 and our local teams’
49ers went 1-2 and the Raiders went 2-1. The super bowl champions are playing the Lions with
predictions going to the Chiefs favor, and the 49ers are playing the Pittsburg Stealers with close
predictions going to the Stealers.
Ravens are putting their faith in star QB Lamar Jackson after signing a 5 year 260-million-
dollar contract in the offseason. Which puts the week 1 predictions on their side against the
Houston Texans
Another player that the 49ers are putting their money to is Nick Bosa. Nick has agreed to a 5
year 170 million contract extension which makes him the highest paid defensive player in NFL
history. Even with his incredible skill people predict a loss for the 49ers in week 1.
“The 49ers will be super bowl contenders no matter what people say, they got one of the best
team chemistries out there,” said Marcus Rosario (11).
No matter who comes out on top, every football season is a great season. There are many
benefits football gives to people. It is a great pastime, people are social because of football, and
people inspire to be football players, Youth, Highschool, and college football bring people and
communities together. It is a hobby, an opportunity maker, and a way people can go to college.
That brings us back to the NFL preseason, as teams are adjusting, learning, improving, from
preseason they are preparing for their first game, the people are getting settled and hoping that
their team will win their week 1 game.
