Taylor Swifts global Stadium “Eras tour” has taken the world and internet by storm.Many
cities exited for Swifts arrival, a couple even changing their city name for a weekend while she
was there. like Glendale was renamed to “Swift city” during swifts stay.
Pre-show, millions of fans had a hard time securing tickets to Swift’s show, because resellers
ticket prices being more than $3,000 for floor seats. Fans were so excited about this tour they
crashed Ticket Master with over 14 million people trying to get seats.
“I was fighting for my life in that waiting queue, and once I got in selecting the seats was even
worse,” said Remy Gapasin (11) .
This situation being so big fans took Ticketmaster to court, due to suspicion of Ticket Master
letting bots and scalpers be able to buy all the tickets. Unleveled amount of pre-sale codes to
actual number of seats. Ticket Master later apologizing and doing exclusive, drops of tickets
randomly on the site.
Leading up to the show fans started a bracelet trading system at every show, some people have
arms full up to their elbows with Taylor themed bracelets.
“I made around 50 bracelets with my sister and traded all of them with the people in my
section, I made some new friends,” said Amelia Ceja (11).
Swifts set list was 44 tracks spanning over 3 hours with two surprise songs that change every
night. Tons of people took to social media to share what song they wanted and tried to get
Swift’s attention to get their favorite song played.
“When she played clean, I started bawling my eyes out it’s my favorite song from 1989,” said
Kira Dillon (11).
When it came to the set stage, Swift went all out to showcase every era with high design
buildings and props to really feel like fan felt like they were in that era’s universe. With color
changes wrist bands that all the audience had. Them being programmed to make patterns and be
on beat with the songs.
“The folklore set was my favorite, there was a cabin that she sat on, and it looked just like on
the one from the cardigan music video,” said Ceja.
Along with the stage set comes also her costumes. Swift had multiple custom outfits made for
every era in different colors. Multiple designer dresses and shoes from brands such as Christan
Louboutin, Versace and Oscar de la Renta.
On August 9, Swift was performing Los Angeles night 2, all her outfits changed into a light
blue, also known by fans “1989” blue and with her closing words she announced 1989 (Taylors
version).
Swift is now done with her American tour and going to tour in Mexico City with 12 tour dates
and is starting on November 26th.
