The varsity cheer team gets the crowd pumped for the annual Battle of the Classes Rally.

As the school year comes to an end, we look back at all the schools events that we experienced. From Homecoming, and Winter Ball to our Varsity Football team coming back to win against San Leandro during NCS and Jonathan Ned hitting the game winning shot against Liberty at home. Of course we cannot forget about prom for the juniors and ball for the seniors as well. Many people have different opinions on our school events, some people love them, while other people, not so much.

“My favorite event this year at Heritage was the back to school dance, there was a good really DJ; my least favorite would have to be Homecoming because DJ Hightop didn’t do a good job DJing at all” said Aiwin Lapiz (11).

Many agree that DJ Hightops playlist was a little too broad for the audience. Yes, he is trying to appeal to everyone and cannot only play one genre, but some people believe that playing songs from Spongebob is not appealing to anyone.

Although a lot of people like the dances, some people enjoyed Heritage’s sporting events more.

“My favorite event this year would have to be the basketball game against Liberty at home. It was so lit when J Ned hit the game winning shot and we all stormed the court,” said Jacob Jackson (11).

“My least favorite event this year is easily Homecoming because DJ Hightop was wack,” said Jackson.

Of course we can’t forget all the rally’s we had this year from the Back to School Rally to Big Blue Madness.

“The Big Blue Madness Rally was definitely my favorite event this year by far,” said Nick Pittier (11)

“My least favorite would have to be Homecoming because the DJ did not play good music at all,” said Pittier.

Some people don’t like both the dances or sports events

“So basically after the first dance they stopped playing EDM and you can’t dance to rap music so I stopped going to the dances, said Nat Mason (12).

Although it may seem that there are a solid amount of students that did not enjoy the events as much as they could of, they still go and comment after to make the next years event even more spectacular. Our school provides us with various spectacular events that many will never forget.
