2017-2018 School Year Goals

With the end of the year a mere month away thoughts of summer are intruding Heritage High School student’s minds with thoughts of hot days and cool nights. Yet once the summer days begin to dwindle down students usually face pre-school stress. Subconsciously but constantly worrying about the next school year and what they will accomplish.

To avoid some of this pre-school stress, students from incoming grades sat down and contemplated their goals for the 2017-2018 school year.

 

Incoming Freshman, Madison Sanders:

  • What are your goals for next school year?

“The most important thing for me is making new memories and having a good time. I want to get good grades, make new friends, and work as hard as I can!”

  • What are you most excited about?

“I’m very excited to go to all the dances, but I’m really looking forward to going to all the games and cheering with the varsity team.”

  • What would you like to change next year?

“I really would like to change my style. I just feel like it’s been the same since 7th grade and I want freshman year to be a new start.”

  • What are you the most nervous about?

“I’m most nervous about the first week of school. It’s a new place and I may not have all of my friends with me. Plus I hate being the youngest – Again!

 

Incoming Junior: Faith Bough

  • What are your goals for next school year – Personal and Academic -?

“What is most important for me to accomplish next school year is getting a 4.0, doing extracurricular and completing at least five classes at LMC.  I would also really like to change the amount of procrastinating I did this year, it would help me in all areas of study.”

  • What makes you the most nervous?

“Everyone says that Junior year is the hardest.. So staying on top of my school work is really huge.”

  • Lastly, what are you most excited about?

“As a Junior I’ll get more choices in my classes because I don’t have PE anymore and upperclassmen get first choice!”

 

Incoming Senior: Derek Jones

  • What is most important for you next school year?

“The most important thing to me about senior year is my parents getting to see me get my diploma.”

  • What are your goals – Personal and Academic?

“Academically I really want to graduate with at least a 3.0 next year. Personally I always want to positively think about things.”

  • What are you the most excited about?

I am definitely the most excited about being a senior and finally being at the top of the school.

  • What makes you the most nervous?

“I feel the most nervous about this being my last year in high school, before really having to grow up and do it all on my own.”
