MTV music awards was held in Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center on September 12th.
The VMAs has been an award show that brought viewers to see which one of their favorite
musicians would win various categories.
This year, 3.9 million people stayed tuned in to see who would be there, their outfits, and win
awards. Beloved celebrities showed up to perform, Olivia Rodrigo, Shakira, Cardi B, Megan the
Stallion, Nicki Minaj, and Doja Cat.
The star of the night, Taylor Swift, brought home nine trophies for her “Anti-Hero” video. She
stole the spotlight with her overstated reactions, her dance moves, and her acceptance speeches.
She made the award show more enjoyable to watch, as well as making the VMA’s more
memorable for her fans looking forward to seeing her.
“This is unbelievable. The fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me,” stated
Swift.
She was awed as she walked on to the stage to grab her well-deserved reward. Swift wore a
custom Versace gown embellished with gold buttons.
Cardi B and Megan the Stallion’s performance was one of the best performances of the night.
The array of vibrant colors captivated the audience for the performance. They performed their
new song Bongos, its live debut at the VMAs this year. With them, they had an abundance of
backup dancer’s wearing vibrant colors themselves. They came through with a strong
chorography that had the audience amazed.
The fashion this year at the VMAs had viewers anticipating what their favorite celebrity would
wear. I feel like Nicki Minaj was the best dressed on the runway. She was wearing a pale pink
lingerie gown by Dolce & Gabbana, which had a strapless satin bodysuit with a lace mermaid
skirt that aired out into circular train.
